Electrical Engineer - Building Systems

Location: United States (Hybrid)


An established engineering consulting firm is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to support the design and delivery of building systems projects across a diverse portfolio of commercial and institutional facilities.


This is an opportunity to take a lead role on technically challenging projects, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, work directly with clients, and continue growing toward senior technical or project leadership.


Responsibilities

  • Design electrical systems for a variety of building projects.
  • Prepare construction drawings, specifications, calculations, and technical documentation.
  • Support projects through all phases of design, permitting, bidding, construction administration, and closeout.
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, consultants, contractors, and clients throughout project delivery.
  • Review submittals, respond to RFIs, perform site visits, and provide construction support.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical quality and continuous improvement.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain licensure through reciprocity.
  • 4+ years of experience designing electrical systems for buildings.
  • Experience with power distribution, lighting, emergency power, fire alarm, and low-voltage systems.
  • Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, and common engineering design tools.
  • Strong communication, organization, and project coordination skills.


Preferred Experience

  • Experience leading building design projects through multiple phases of delivery.
  • Experience working directly with clients and coordinating multidisciplinary project teams.
  • Strong understanding of applicable electrical and building codes.
