About the Role

The Inflatable Water Park Attendant is the front‐line guardian of fun and safety at Manapogo’s inflatable water park on Lake Pleasant. This role blends guest interaction, safety monitoring, and hands‐on support to ensure every visitor has a safe, memorable, and magical experience on the water.

You’ll oversee the floating obstacle course, swim deck, kayaks, paddle boards, paddle boats, and designated beach area. You are not a lifeguard — but you are the eyes, ears, and friendly authority figure who keeps the area running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

Guest Check‐In & Verification

  • Confirm each guest has a valid session pass for the correct date/time.
  • Verify all required waivers are completed (including parent/guardian signatures for minors).
  • Ensure guests meet all participation requirements (age, height, weight, swim ability).

Safety Oversight

  • Enforce all water park rules, including mandatory life jacket use.
  • Monitor the inflatable course and watercraft area for unsafe behavior, hazards, or rule violations.
  • Maintain clear visibility of all participants and respond quickly to concerns.
  • Stop activities immediately if unsafe conditions arise (weather, behavior, injury, equipment issues).

Equipment Management

  • Inspect inflatables, life jackets, and watercraft at the start and end of each shift.
  • Assist guests with fitting and buckling life jackets.
  • Check out and check in kayaks, paddle boards, and paddles.
  • Report damage, wear, or safety concerns to the Safety Coordinator or Manager.

Guest Experience

  • Provide friendly, helpful guidance to guests of all ages.
  • Communicate rules clearly and confidently.
  • Maintain a welcoming, upbeat atmosphere — even during busy sessions.

Operational Support

  • Help manage capacity limits for each shift.
  • Assist with weather‐related shutdowns and guest communication.
  • Keep the beach and water park area clean, organized, and free of hazards.

Requirements

  • Must be 16+ years old (18+ preferred).

Must be able

  • to swim confidently in open water.
  • Comfortable enforcing rules and addressing guest behavior.
  • Able to work outdoors in summer heat for extended periods.
  • Physically able to move equipment, assist guests, and navigate uneven terrain.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work weekends and holidays.
  • Positive attitude, strong communication skills, and a calm presence under pressure.
  • Prior experience with watercraft or waterfront operations is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in guest services, camps, recreation, childcare, or outdoor activities.

· CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).

Work Environment

  • Outdoor lakefront setting with direct sun exposure.
  • Standing, walking, and water‐adjacent activity for most of the shift.
  • Interaction with families, children, and large groups.
  • Fast‐paced, high‐energy environment during peak times.
