Heavy Assembler

This position is responsible for maintaining production and delivery schedules for manufacturing and production using hand/power tools and reading technical blueprints. Perform quality checks to ensure products meet specifications, maintain a clean workspace and adhere to safety standards. Requires standing for duration of workday and perform repetitive lifting.

Specific Responsibilities

• Responsible for maintaining and following safety standards.
• Keep a clean and organized workplace.
• Assembles subassemblies and final assemblies.
• Use a wide range of hand tools including, but not limited to cordless drills, thread taps, combination wrenches, tape measure, carpenter square, pry bars, combination square, pneumatic impact guns and sledgehammers.
• Use drill press, hydraulic press and band saw to complete assignments
• Build, test and inspect job assignments performed.

Candidate Specifications

Minimum Requirements

• Physically fit – able to lift minimum of 50 lbs. repetitively.
• Able to read tape measure in 1/16” increments
• Excellent Attendance

Desired

• Sit down forklift experience.
• Overhead crane and hoist experience.

· Good relations, communication skills, and able to interact well with co-workers and management.

• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to multitask
• 1-2 years of prior assembly experience.
