Opportunity Overview
Our organization is looking to recruit a Board Eligible/Board Certified Pediatric Endocrinologist to become part of our vibrant team in Sacramento, CA.
The Pediatric Endocrinology and Diabetes program we offer is a comprehensive, clinically focused, and research-oriented subspecialty initiative integrated within one of California's most esteemed health systems. We deliver cutting-edge clinical services, extensive diabetes and weight management programs, and a developing pediatric endocrine research portfolio, all backed by a robust operational framework.
We are in search of a committed and collaborative Pediatric Endocrinologist to enhance our expanding pediatric subspecialty practice. The ideal candidate will have a keen interest in advancing pediatric endocrine clinical research and providing innovative care for children facing complex endocrine challenges. While prior research experience is advantageous, it is not a prerequisite. Candidates with advanced research qualifications, such as a PhD or MPH, are strongly encouraged to apply, although these degrees are not essential. We seek a physician who prioritizes teamwork, clinical excellence, and a dedication to improving health outcomes for pediatric patients across our diverse Northern California communities.
Our research enterprise is thriving, with numerous new system-wide initiatives underway, and we are dedicated to supporting both promising and established physician-investigators. As part of our team, you will collaborate with:
6 Pediatric Endocrinologists
3 Advanced Practice Providers (NPs/PAs) fully integrated into patient care
1 Dedicated Research Coordinator
1 Area Manager and Research Manager
Certified Diabetes Care & Education Specialists (CDCES)
Registered Dietitians
Embedded care coordination and population health support, including the Life@Sutter weight management program, PENS team (Pediatric Endocrine and Nutrition Services), and a multidisciplinary diabetes team
The team promotes shared decision-making, Physician-APC dyad leadership, mutual respect, and long-term sustainability.
Qualifications
We are looking for a pediatric endocrinologist who is:
Board-certified or board-eligible in Pediatric Endocrinology
Clinically proficient and team-oriented
Passionate about diabetes care, endocrine complexities, or program development
Curious, innovative, and aligned with a culture of continuous improvement
Both early-career and experienced physicians are encouraged to apply.
