Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Physician Assistant based in Harlingen, TX. The Physician Assistant will perform patient assessments, diagnose and develop treatment plans, and provide care under the supervision of a licensed physician. Responsibilities include conducting physical exams, managing chronic illnesses, performing minor procedures, educating patients on treatment plans, and maintaining detailed medical records. The role requires exceptional clinical judgment, strong communication skills, and collaboration with the medical team to ensure quality patient outcomes. Salary $100K-$140K is negotiable dependent on experience. 4.5 day work week. Productivity bonus available. 20 days PTO. No nights, weekends, or call responsibilities. Full administrative support with strong Physician mentorship in all aspects of private practice medicine. Minimal "keyboard pecking". You will spend your time thinking and talking. Practice medicine without having to meet burdensome "quality metrics".

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in conducting patient evaluations, physical examinations, and obtaining thorough medical histories
  • Skills in diagnostic and clinical decision-making, including developing and managing treatment plans
  • Familiarity with medical record-keeping and proficiency in using Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems
  • Ability to collaborate with physicians and other healthcare staff to deliver high-quality patient care
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build patient trust and provide educational guidance
  • Active and unrestricted Physician Assistant license in Texas
  • Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program
  • Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
  • Experience in family or primary care settings is preferred
  • Bilingual capabilities, particularly in Spanish and English, are a plus
