Pediatric Infectious Disease Specialist

Our organization is on the lookout for a physician who is either Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatric Infectious Disease to become part of our growing team in New Orleans, Louisiana. A passion for Antimicrobial Stewardship is a plus. The Pediatric Infectious Disease division offers both inpatient and outpatient assessment and treatment for children with suspected or confirmed infectious conditions.

    • Congenital heart surgery and cardiac transplantation

    • Hematology-Oncology and AYA Oncology
    • Advanced Gastroenterology and Hepatology
    • A comprehensive surgical subspecialty group, including craniofacial and advanced spine surgery
    • The Gulf South's only comprehensive developmental pediatrics center

  • 14-bed PICU and 12-bed CVICU

  • 44-bed Pediatric Acute Care Unit with a dedicated Pediatric Emergency Department
  • 24/7 neonatal and pediatric transport team supported by ground, rotary, and fixed-wing aircraft
  • Future expansion: A new 5-story Children's Hospital is currently under construction, set to open in late 2027 or early 2028, along with planned enhancements to neonatal services

  • ACGME-accredited pediatric residency program, along with the Ochsner Pediatric Residency Program.
