Position OverviewWe are looking for a committed Family Medicine Residency Core Faculty Physician to join our Graduate Medical Education (GME) team in Lewiston. This role is essential for enhancing resident education, developing curriculum, providing clinical supervision, and engaging in scholarly activities within the Family Medicine Residency Program.
The Core Faculty member will collaborate closely with the Program Director and GME leadership to foster a high-quality educational atmosphere that adheres to ACGME accreditation standards while ensuring outstanding patient care.
Residency Program LeadershipSupport the Program Director in managing and overseeing the Family Medicine Residency Program.
Engage in the recruitment, interviewing, and selection of residents.
Guide residents in their scholarly pursuits, research, and quality improvement initiatives.
Contribute to the evaluation and ongoing enhancement of the program.
Engage in research, publications, or presentations that align with ACGME faculty expectations.
Act as a mentor for resident research projects and scholarly endeavors.
Participate in faculty development initiatives and academic committees.
Ensure adherence to ACGME requirements and institutional GME policies.
Take part in Clinical Competency Committee (CCC) and Program Evaluation Committee (PEC) meetings.
Keep records of faculty scholarly activities and teaching contributions.
Previous experience as Residency Faculty or Clinical Educator.
Familiarity with ACGME accreditation processes.
Interest in curriculum development, research, and quality improvement.

Encourage evidence-based medicine and quality improvement initiatives within the residency program.
MD or DO degree from an accredited medical institution.
Board Certified in Family Medicine (or Board Eligible with certification within the required timeframe).
Eligible for medical licensure in the State of Maine.
Experience in graduate medical education or teaching residents is preferred.
Strong dedication to medical education, mentorship, and patient-centered care.
