Job Opportunity: BC Neurologist Specializing in Movement Disorders

Our organization, a prominent health system situated in the vibrant city of San Diego, CA, is on the lookout for a skilled Board-Certified Neurologist with specialized fellowship training in Movement Disorders. This position is available due to the retirement of our current Director of Movement Disorders.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide outpatient care to patients with movement disorders.
• Guide and mentor junior faculty members while teaching graduate students, residents, and clinical and research fellows/staff.
• Ensure the Parkinson's and Other Movement Disorders Center (POMDC) retains its status as a Parkinson's Disease Center of Excellence, as recognized by the Parkinson's Foundation, along with the Lewy Body Dementia Association's Center of Excellence designation and the Cure PSP Center of Care.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of six years of experience in clinical practice and teaching.
• At least five years of funded research experience focused on Parkinson's disease and/or related movement disorders.
