Position: Physician - Urgent Care (Stockton, CA)

Organization: Our organization, part of the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, VA Northern California Health Care System
Location: Stockton VA Clinic (Richard A. Pittman VA Clinic), French Camp/Stockton, CA

Position Overview

• Schedule: Full-time, Monday to Friday, from 07:30 to 18:00 (approximately 36 clinical hours per week)

• Salary: Ranges from $260,000 to $325,000 annually

• Benefits: 50-55 days of paid time off per year, federal pension (5-year vesting), 401(k) matching, comprehensive health insurance, CME stipend ($1,000 annually), and liability coverage

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional urgent care services to Veterans, addressing both acute and chronic health issues across a varied patient demographic

• Perform diagnostics, procedures, manage orders, referrals, and medication

• Work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams, including specialty services and resident education

• Adhere to VA policies, ensuring patient safety and compliance with national clinical standards

Qualifications

• Medical Degree: MD or DO from an accredited institution

• Licensure: Must possess a current, full, and unrestricted medical license in the U.S.

• Residency: Completion of an ACGME/AOA-accredited residency; Emergency Medicine is highly preferred, while Family or Internal Medicine with substantial Emergency Medicine experience will also be considered

• Citizenship: Must be a U.S. citizen (non-citizens may be considered only if no qualified citizens are available)
