Physician - Urgent Care Position

Our organization is a forward-thinking, independent multi-specialty physician group dedicated to serving the Hampton Roads area of southeastern coastal Virginia. We are currently in search of a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Physician in Family Medicine, Urgent Care, or Emergency Medicine to become part of our collaborative team of urgent care specialists at our Urgent Care Centers.

We operate seven accessible locations throughout South Hampton Roads, all of which are open daily from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM, offering walk-in access to high-quality urgent care services. In addition to urgent care, the Physician will also provide Occupational Health services tailored for local businesses.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Physician at our Urgent Care Centers, you will be tasked with delivering timely, high-quality medical care in a dynamic outpatient environment:

  • Assess, diagnose, and treat a range of acute illnesses and injuries
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including laboratory work, EKGs, and X-rays
  • Perform standard urgent care procedures, such as:
    • Laceration repair (suturing/stapling)
    • Incision and drainage
    • Splinting and basic orthopedic care
    • Foreign body removal
    • Wound care and dressing changes
  • Supervise Advanced Practice Providers (APPs)
  • Obtain DOT certification
  • Conduct pre-employment, return-to-work, and DOT physical examinations (DOT certification required or anticipated)
  • Evaluate and manage work-related injuries in accordance with OSHA and workers' compensation regulations
  • Administer and oversee drug and alcohol testing, ensuring compliance with chain-of-custody protocols
