Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrician

The Division of Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics within our organization is seeking a Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrician to enhance our dedicated team. Located at the Bernard & Millie Duker Children's Hospital, our multidisciplinary group comprises physicians, advanced practice providers, psychologists, speech therapists, and master's level clinicians, serving a diverse patient population across 25 counties in the Capital District of New York.

Our team's responsibilities include:

• Conducting diagnostic evaluations and managing medical care for patients up to 21 years old with various developmental issues, such as:
  • Autism Spectrum Disorder
  • Developmental delays
  • ADHD
  • Learning disabilities
  • Behavioral health challenges, including anxiety
  • Follow-up care for neonates
• Collaborating with pediatric specialists in fields such as psychiatry, general pediatrics, neurology, and genetics.
• Implementing recent innovations like a Medical Home for children with ASD, establishing a feeding team, and introducing a "fast track" developmental screening for children under five.

Ideal candidates will have:

• Board certification or eligibility in Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics.
• A passion for creating innovative programs within the realm of developmental and behavioral practice.
• Experience or enthusiasm for teaching medical students and house staff.
• A strong commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care to diverse populations.

The competitive salary for the Assistant Professor position ranges from $190,000 to $198,000, based on experience. Compensation for higher academic ranks will be discussed during the interview process.
