Pediatric Academic Nephrologist
Job Description
We are currently seeking applications for a full-time or part-time faculty role as an Academic Nephrologist within the Department of Pediatrics. Our organization is looking for an exceptional board-certified or board-eligible Pediatric Nephrologist to enhance our dynamic clinical program focused on diagnosing and treating children with kidney disorders. The selected candidate will join as the second or third member of our division, which plays a vital role in delivering both clinical and academic services that align with the missions of our children's hospital and medical college.
Our division is dedicated to providing exemplary clinical care and is recognized for its teaching excellence. Key responsibilities include overseeing the Pediatric Dialysis Unit and contributing to our comprehensive outpatient pediatrics program, which features multidisciplinary and satellite clinics. The division benefits from strong collaborations with a pediatric urology division, a transplant surgery program, and skilled interventional radiologists.
About Our InstitutionLocated in Albany, New York, our organization is a prominent academic medical center and serves as a Level I Trauma Center, offering a wide range of adult and pediatric specialties.
The Bernard and Millie Duker Children's Hospital features a 60-bed NICU, a 19-bed PICU, and a newly established pediatric emergency department that opened in 2018.
