Position Highlights:

  • Leadership & Impact:
    • Act as Section Chief and Clinic Director for the Mental Health Primary Care section.
    • Supervise and mentor a team of seven interdisciplinary healthcare professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and compassion.
    • Oversee four specialized PACT teams (three SMI-PACT and one H-PACT), advocating for integrated primary care for Veterans with co-occurring mental health conditions.
  • Clinical Excellence:
    • Deliver high-quality outpatient primary care within an innovative, co-located mental health environment.
    • Provide advice and consultation to colleagues in both primary care and behavioral health, establishing yourself as a recognized leader and resource within the organization.

    • Contribute to program development, engage in teaching and mentorship, and influence best practices across the system.
  • Work-Life Balance:
    • Enjoy a consistent daytime schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, promoting well-being both in and out of the workplace.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Board-certified or eligible in Family or Internal Medicine.
  • Possession of an active, unrestricted medical license in the United States.
  • Proven experience in physician leadership.
  • A strong commitment to Veteran-centered, team-oriented care.
  • A passion for working with individuals experiencing mental illness and/or homelessness.
  • Excellent interpersonal and teaching abilities.

Preferred: Experience in mental health and a keen interest in advancing integrated care.

Outstanding Benefits:

  • Competitive Compensation:
    Annual salary ranging from $265,000 to $290,000, along with an annual bonus and regular salary increments.
  • Recruitment/Relocation Incentive: Approved sign-on bonus.
    Education Debt Reduction Program available.
  • Generous Paid Time Off:
    50-55 days per year, including 26 vacation days, 13 sick days, 11 federal holidays, and up to 5 days for CME leave.
