RESPONSIBILITIES- Provide exemplary leadership by offering clinical guidance and ensuring compliance with best practices and institutional protocols within the obstetric unit.
- Work collaboratively with a skilled team of healthcare professionals, including obstetricians, nurses, midwives, and support staff, to guarantee safe and comprehensive patient care.
- Remain at the forefront of obstetric medicine by adopting new technologies and evidence-based practices to enhance patient care.
- Formulate and execute strategic plans for the obstetric unit, encompassing resource management, budgeting, and the acquisition of essential equipment and supplies.
- Promote a culture of safety, teamwork, and ongoing education within the labor and delivery unit.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS- Medical degree from an accredited institution and Board Certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
- Active medical license in Virginia with a current DEA registration.
- A minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in Obstetrics, with a preference for leadership experience.
- Proven expertise in managing high-risk pregnancies, complications, and emergency obstetric scenarios.
- Strong dedication to quality patient care, evidence-based practices, and continuous improvement.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
- Experience in policy formulation, strategic planning, and budget management in a healthcare environment.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and best practices in obstetric medicine.
- Demonstrated commitment to patient safety, quality outcomes, and enhancing satisfaction for patients, employees, and providers.
