Our organization is looking for an ENDOCRINOLOGIST to join the faculty within the Division of Endocrinology. This role will contribute to our growing program focused on patient care, education, and academic research. The successful candidate will engage in general Endocrinology, particularly emphasizing diabetes management, while also teaching fellows, residents, and medical students.

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • MD or an equivalent degree from an international institution.
  • Board certification in Internal Medicine and either Board Certified or Board Eligible in Endocrinology.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A demonstrated interest in clinical research, especially concerning diabetes-related conditions.

Our institution serves as Long Island's leading academic medical center, encompassing the entire medical enterprise of the university. It integrates various health-related initiatives, including education, research, and patient care. The organization includes the university hospital, a children's hospital, and five health sciences schools—Dental Medicine, Health Professions, Medicine, Nursing, and Social Welfare—along with numerous major centers, institutes, and over 50 community healthcare settings throughout Suffolk County.

With 624 beds, our university hospital is the only tertiary care center and Regional Trauma Center in Suffolk County. The children's hospital features over 180 pediatric specialists across 30 specialties, providing the most advanced pediatric care in the area. The Medical and Research Translation (MART) building houses outpatient services for the university's cancer center on two floors, while four additional floors are dedicated to cancer research.
