Our organization is looking for Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Anesthesiologists to become part of our established anesthesia team at a prominent hospital in Rockford, Illinois.
This position offers the chance to work at a Level I Trauma Center, handling a varied and complex case load that includes trauma, high-risk obstetrics, and orthopedic surgeries, all while enjoying a consistent weekday schedule, competitive pay, and robust administrative support.
Opportunity Overview:- Full-time role at a 195-bed Level I Trauma Center.
- Typical work hours: Monday to Friday, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
- In-house call rotation approximately every 2.7 days, including one weeknight and 1-2 weekends per month:
- Weeknight in-house call from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. following an 8-hour shift.
- Coverage responsibilities include trauma or obstetrics.
- Post-call day off for in-house coverage.
- Pager call rotation for 2nd, 3rd, and 4th calls with an average response time of around 20 minutes.
- Moderate call volume expected.
- Utilization of EPIC EMR system.
- Administer anesthesia for trauma, high-risk obstetrics (Level III Perinatal Center), orthopedic, and general surgical procedures.
- Access to 14 operating rooms, with a focus on trauma cases.
- Support from a Comprehensive Stroke Center.
- Collaboration with physicians, CRNAs (mainly in the endoscopy suite), surgeons, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Engagement in quality improvement projects and collaborative care planning.
- MD/DO, board-certified or board-eligible in Anesthesiology.
- Recent, comprehensive trauma experience is essential.
- Experience in regional and obstetric anesthesia is required.
- Capability to deliver high-quality anesthesia in a demanding, multidisciplinary environment.
- Strong teamwork, communication skills, and a patient-centered approach are necessary.
- Base Salary: $550,000 for General Anesthesia, $630,000 for Cardiac Anesthesia.
- Potential additional funding of up to $100,000 for student loan repayment and/or sign-on bonuses.
