Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist - Inpatient
Our organization is located in Hagerstown, MD.
Compensation includes a salary of $335,000, a sign-on bonus of $250,000, and relocation assistance of up to $50,000.
Position Highlights
Base salary of $335K
Sign-on bonus of $250K
Relocation support up to $50K
Work schedule of 7 days on followed by 7 days off (10-hour shifts)
Focus exclusively on inpatient care with no outpatient duties
Manageable patient load of approximately 16 individuals
Opportunities to teach psychiatry residents, medical students, and programs for nurse practitioners and physician assistants

Practice Details
Inpatient program for children and adolescents with 38 beds (average occupancy around 32)
Serves patients aged 8 to 17
Typical length of stay ranges from 8 to 10 days
Common conditions treated include ADHD, depressive disorders, trauma, autism spectrum disorders, oppositional defiant disorder, and adolescent substance use
Admissions primarily sourced from local emergency departments
Team-Based Care
You will collaborate with a dedicated multidisciplinary behavioral health team, which includes:
Nurses and Mental Health Associates
Social Workers and Counselors
Psychologists
Discharge Planning Team
Medical Consultation Services
All team members are trained in CPI de-escalation techniques and safety protocols, supported by security measures to ensure a safe environment for care.
Call Schedule
One night per week
One in six weekends
Daytime on-call coverage for emergency department referrals and urgent inpatient needs
