Our organization is seeking a fellowship-trained Pediatric Anesthesiologist to enhance our expanding pediatric service line at a reputable academic medical center located in northern New England. This position provides a consistent and predictable schedule of clinical work without on-call duties, set within a comprehensive academic environment that emphasizes both complex pediatric care and a robust teaching culture.
Key Responsibilities- Engage in clinical practice covering a diverse patient population, from neonates to adults.
- Manage a variety of cases, including routine pediatric ambulatory procedures and increasingly intricate surgeries, particularly in pediatric neurosurgery.
- Collaborate closely with the pediatric neurosurgery team in a tertiary care setting that addresses high-acuity cases across multiple specialties.
- Work within a supportive anesthesia department that includes physicians, advanced practice providers, and rotating residents and students.
The typical workweek consists of approximately 40 to 50 hours, with shifts generally starting around 7:00 AM and concluding around 5:30 PM. Providers are expected to be available for at least two consecutive weeks each month, and overtime is not included in this role.
Qualifications- Board certified or eligible in anesthesiology within five years.
- Completion of a fellowship in Pediatric Anesthesiology is mandatory.
- A clean malpractice history is essential.
- Comfort with both pediatric and adult anesthesia is required.
- Experience with the EPIC EMR system is preferred.
- Possession or eligibility for a New Hampshire medical license is necessary.
- BLS certification and a valid DEA are required.
Applicants with pending or settled malpractice cases, as well as those located outside the United States, will not be considered for this position.
Orientation and CommunityThe role includes a structured orientation lasting four to five days, with start dates aligned with standard onboarding and credentialing processes.
