Job Opportunity: Gastroenterologist - GI Hospitalist

Our organization is looking for a Board Certified/Eligible Gastroenterologist to join our team as a GI Hospitalist, focusing on inpatient GI consult services. This role involves providing 26 weeks of inpatient GI consultative services from Monday to Friday, along with 4 weekends of on-call coverage each year. Responsibilities will include conducting general endoscopic procedures and collaborating with GI advanced practice providers and GI fellows on consults.

About Our Facility

We are a tertiary care teaching hospital with 929 acute care beds and a Level 1 trauma center located in Portland, Maine. This position offers the chance to provide clinical education to GI fellows and internal medicine residents from the University of New England and Tufts University medical schools.
