As a Family Medicine Faculty, you will take on the role of Preceptor for resident physicians delivering medical care in our community-based outpatient clinic, as well as providing inpatient care at our flagship 450-bed hospital located in Newport News, VA. Join our dedicated team that is passionate about teaching and committed to developing highly skilled and innovative Family Physicians. Previous experience in a faculty role is appreciated!

Key Highlights:

• One of the oldest and most developed family medicine residency programs in the nation, promoting evidence-based practices with 13 residents per PGY year.
• Osteopathic recognition through the ACGME, featuring an integrated Osteopathic curriculum with both DO and MD faculty, focusing on quality patient care while tailoring each resident's education.
• Serves a diverse patient population, addressing the full spectrum of family medicine with a focus on disease prevention, management, health maintenance, and patient education.
• Utilizes EPIC to connect all outpatient and inpatient facilities within the health system.
• Offers 4 weeks of scheduled PTO, 1 week for CME, and 5 designated holidays.
