Job Opportunity: Nocturnist Psychiatrist

Our organization, affiliated with a prominent medical institution, is looking for a full-time Psychiatrist to join the Comprehensive Psychiatric Emergency Program (CPEP) as a Nocturnist. This position is based in the culturally rich community of Western Queens, which is known for its diversity.

Position Overview

The Nocturnist will be expected to work 3-4 overnight shifts during weekdays or weekends, totaling a 40-hour work week. A strong interest in collaborating with residents is crucial. This role not only offers the chance to teach but also allows for engaging clinical work enriched by the community's cultural variety. The location in Western Queens provides convenient access from various parts of NYC, Westchester, and Long Island.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide psychiatric care during overnight shifts.
  • Collaborate closely with residents and contribute to their education.
  • Engage with a diverse patient population.
Qualifications
  • MD/DO degree required.
  • Board certified or board eligible in Psychiatry.
  • Valid New York State License, DEA, and Medicaid number are necessary.
