Director of the Harvard South Shore Psychiatry Program

Brockton, MA

Our organization is on the lookout for individuals with a proven track record in academic excellence and leadership within graduate medical education to oversee our Psychiatry training program and manage psychiatry training in collaboration with our partner programs. The Harvard South Shore Psychiatry Program is a substantial residency program (32 residents) accredited by ACGME, affiliated with the VA/Harvard Medical School Department of Psychiatry, and benefits from a vibrant clinical setting and exceptional faculty committed to both clinical research and education. We are open to considering candidates for the roles of Assistant or Associate Program Director, depending on their experience. There is potential for the Associate Program Director to advance to the position of Residency Training Director.

The ideal candidate will possess a well-rounded background in direct clinical care, along with experience in teaching and supervising psychiatry residents and medical students. Appointments as Instructor, Assistant, or Associate Professor will be based on the candidate's experience, training, and accomplishments. This role offers a highly competitive salary, a comprehensive leave and benefits package, and eligibility for up to $200,000 in Educational Debt Reduction, along with a Recruitment/Relocation Incentive.

Requirements:
  • Minimum of three years of significant administrative and leadership experience in Graduate Medical Education.
  • Strong interpersonal, clinical, and leadership abilities.
  • Board Certification in General Psychiatry.
  • Qualifications for academic appointment at Harvard Medical School.
  • Commitment to serving Veterans.
  • Proficient clinical teaching and supervisory skills.
  • A desire to collaborate within an outstanding interprofessional team.
  • Must be a US Citizen.
