Job Description
We are looking for a board-certified Urologist who specializes in diagnosing, treating, and managing urologic disorders in patients. The ideal candidate will possess excellent clinical abilities and a focus on patient-centered care. This position involves both outpatient consultations and surgical procedures across various locations in the Tampa, Florida region.
Key Responsibilities:Assess, diagnose, and manage conditions affecting the kidneys, bladder, urethra, and male reproductive system.
Conduct common urologic procedures, including cystoscopies, vasectomies, prostate biopsies, and treatments for stones, along with other outpatient or surgical interventions.
Perform and interpret diagnostic tests such as cystoscopies, urodynamics, and imaging studies.
Manage various conditions, including kidney stones, incontinence, urinary tract infections, prostate disorders, and cancers of the bladder, kidneys, and prostate.
Execute urologic surgeries, including minimally invasive and robotic-assisted techniques.
Prescribe and oversee medications and nonsurgical treatment options.
Collaborate with primary care providers, oncologists, nephrologists, and other specialists as necessary.
Educate patients on disease prevention, lifestyle changes, and treatment strategies.
Maintain precise and current medical records in accordance with regulatory requirements.
Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
Board certification in Urology.
Completion of an accredited residency program in Urology.
Possession of a valid medical license (or eligibility to obtain one) in the state of Florida.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Dedication to providing high-quality, evidence-based care.
At least 2 years of clinical practice post-residency (new graduates are encouraged to apply).
Experience with robotic and minimally invasive surgical techniques.
Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems (e.g., Epic).
Fellowship training in subspecialties such as urologic oncology, endourology, or female urology is preferred.
