Pediatric Pulmonologist

Location: Phoenix, AZ

Shift: Monday to Friday, Daytime, 8 AM - 5 PM

Key Responsibilities

Patient Care Services

  • Deliver patient care services within the scope of clinical privileges, which includes but is not limited to:
    • Providing direct care for patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings
    • Offering subspecialty consultations and follow-up care
    • Administering diagnostic and therapeutic services/procedures
    • Delivering urgent and emergent care as required
  • Aim to provide exceptional patient and family-centered care
  • Contribute to the hospital's patient satisfaction objectives and specific division targets
  • Adhere to divisional standards for patient safety and quality of care
  • Utilize contemporary evidence-based medicine or the latest experiential knowledge in practice

Divisional Responsibilities

  • Set and work towards achieving annual goals and objectives for physicians (individual, division, hospital)
  • Support the medical education initiatives within the division, which includes:
    • Supervising trainees and allied health professionals in delivering inpatient and outpatient services when applicable
    • Conducting teaching rounds, lectures, and conferences for trainees
    • Participating in the education and supervision of trainees and allied health professionals assigned to the division
    • Engaging in postgraduate continuing education activities within the division
  • Assist in the research efforts of the division, including initiatives led by other division members
  • Support the growth and development of the division's programs
  • Contribute to satellite initiatives of the division when appropriate
