Medical Director, Urgent Care

Under the guidance of the Chief Medical Officer at our organization, you will take on a pivotal role in providing strategic leadership and oversight for all urgent care operations, which includes managing clinical services and supervising Advanced Practice Providers.

Role Overview

• A physician leader tasked with ensuring clinical quality, operational efficiency, and staff development.

• Responsible for maintaining high standards of patient care and a strong reputation within the community.

• Works collaboratively with leadership to cultivate an inclusive and high-performing culture.

Core Responsibilities

• Foster and enhance medical staff performance and professional growth.

• Achieve quality, financial, and patient satisfaction objectives.

• Oversee department operations, resource management, and the implementation of new initiatives.

• Assist in physician recruitment and hiring processes.

Time Allocation

• Clinical Time: 80%

• Nonclinical Time: 20% dedicated to administrative duties and supervision of APPs.

• Reporting: Regular interactions with the leadership team.

Qualifications

• MD or DO with a valid Massachusetts medical license.

• 3-5+ years of clinical experience with demonstrated leadership impact.

• Proficient in:

  • Leadership, effective communication, and collaboration.

  • Data analysis and informed decision-making.

  • Understanding of healthcare systems, quality assurance, and safety metrics.
