Work Environment and Population Served

Our facilities operate as Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNFs) that offer:

  • Long-term care for residents needing ongoing skilled support and compassionate daily assistance
  • Short-term, sub-acute rehabilitation for patients recovering from surgery, illness, or injury
  • Collaborative care through an interdisciplinary team approach involving nursing, therapy, and medical staff
  • A diverse patient population, including individuals with orthopedic, neurological, cardiopulmonary, and post-acute needs

As a therapy professional, you will play a crucial role in helping patients achieve functional progress and enhance their quality of life in a supportive, patient-centered setting.

Position Overview

The Occupational Therapist (OT) will deliver direct rehabilitation care in occupational therapy to patients referred by physicians, adhering to all relevant laws, regulations, and organizational standards.

Qualifications and Experience
  • Must be NBCOT certified upon hire; renewal is optional thereafter
  • Graduate of an accredited occupational therapy program (BSOT or MSOT)
  • Currently registered/licensed in the applicable state, with an active license in good standing throughout employment
  • One year of experience preferred; new graduates are encouraged to apply
  • CPR certification required upon hire or to be obtained during orientation, and must remain current during employment
Specific Job Responsibilities
  • Engage in community health initiatives and projects as appropriate
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and email communication
  • Collaborate with patients, families, and support departments to effectively plan for patient needs
  • Exhibit proper body mechanics at all times
  • Make independent decisions when necessary
  • Understand and comply with practices, procedures, laws, and guidelines governing post-acute care facilities
  • Implement and interpret departmental programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures
  • Maintain proficiency in all competency areas, including patient rights, safety, and sanitation
  • Foster professional relationships with all associates and vendors
  • Ensure confidentiality of all proprietary and confidential information
  • Adhere to company policies, including those related to harassment and compliance
  • Demonstrate integrity and professionalism by following the organization’s Code of Conduct and completing mandatory compliance training
Essential Functions
  • Implement occupational treatment plans for patients, focusing on activities of daily living
  • Establish, assess, and adjust realistic, measurable, and functional goals
  • Oversee and evaluate care provided by Occupational Therapy Assistants (OTAs), Rehabilitation Aides, and students
  • Document care appropriately and in a timely manner
  • Utilize therapy software accurately and effectively
  • Provide excellent customer service and maintain a positive attitude towards patients
  • Assist in the safe evacuation of patients when necessary
  • Demonstrate reliable attendance and punctuality
  • Utilize reasoning skills and sound judgment in all situations
  • Communicate effectively and collaborate within an interdisciplinary team
  • Engage in physical activities such as sitting, standing, bending, lifting, pushing, pulling, stooping, walking, reaching, and moving intermittently throughout the workday
  • Read, write, speak, and comprehend the English language
