Pediatric Body Radiologist

Phoenix Children's
Phoenix, AZ, US Full Time

Job Description

Job Description

We are excited to announce an opportunity for a full-time pediatric body radiologist to join our team in Phoenix, Arizona.

About Our Team:

Our organization’s Department of Radiology is comprised of 31 dedicated radiologists, categorized into various specialties: Body (14), Neuro (7), Interventional Radiology (6), and Emergency (3). The Emergency Radiology section manages overnight image assessments and consultations. Fluoroscopy call is distributed among the Body imaging team at a ratio of 1:13. Each radiologist is equipped with a complete home PACS workstation, and we promote a hybrid work model that allows for a blend of on-site and remote shifts. Currently, each radiologist is expected to be on-site approximately one day per week.

Subspecialty Practice:

The Pediatric Body imaging section is a collaborative group of pediatric radiologists with specialized skills in areas such as Cardiac, Fetal, Musculoskeletal, and Nuclear Medicine/PET. While subspecialty training and expertise are preferred for this position, we warmly welcome applications from recent fellowship graduates.

All interventional procedures and neuroimaging studies are managed by our dedicated interventional and neuroradiology teams.

Research and Education:

Our Radiology faculty members hold positions at the University of Arizona College of Medicine (Phoenix), Mayo Clinic (Scottsdale), and Creighton University School of Medicine (Phoenix). We have a vibrant teaching and research program that includes three ACGME-accredited Pediatric Radiology fellowship positions, along with two additional non-accredited fellowships in Neuro and Interventional Radiology. Our team also mentors fellows, residents, and medical students from affiliated Radiology programs. We maintain a Master Research Agreement with Philips Health Tech, which supports our active clinical translational research initiatives focused on early-stage imaging hardware and software development. A full-time Imaging Scientist with a PhD and a dedicated research coordinator are available to assist with Radiology research endeavors.

Growth and Expansion in the Phoenix Valley:

As the Phoenix Metro Area experiences rapid population growth, our organization is expanding its presence with several new medical campuses. A new pediatric hospital and medical office building satellite center is set to open in early 2026, adding to our existing satellite centers. These new facilities will feature comprehensive radiology departments to support both outpatient and 24/7 inpatient and emergency services, staffed by our pediatric radiologists.

In anticipation of the increased demand for imaging services, we are actively seeking to recruit additional pediatric radiologists.
