OBGYN Physician

Our organization operates a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) that provides a comprehensive array of health and social services across various locations in Kentucky. Salary: $400,000+

Schedule: Three (3) days in-clinic and one (1) 24-hour call shift weekly (with complete flexibility in your call schedule—choose to take on as many or as few shifts as you prefer and earn $5,000 per shift!)

We are in search of an OBGYN Physician who is dedicated to rural health and eager to become a trusted partner for women and families throughout their life stages.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver outpatient obstetrics and gynecology services at designated clinic locations.

  • Provide inpatient obstetrics and gynecology services, including infant deliveries and related surgical procedures, at affiliated hospitals.

  • Conduct a variety of tests, such as pap smears, pelvic exams, and breast examinations.

  • Diagnose and prescribe treatments for various disorders and diseases.

  • Perform routine check-ups for patients.

  • Monitor and care for expectant mothers throughout pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period.

  • Meet the required productivity standards for time spent in the clinic.

  • Engage in administrative tasks, including managing lab reports, charts, and medication refills appropriately.

  • Carry out additional duties as assigned or necessary.

Experience:

  • Experience working with underserved populations is highly preferred.

  • Certification from the Drug Enforcement Agency and valid licensure in Kentucky are mandatory.

  • Current certification in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is required.

Education:

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.

  • Completion of an accredited residency program in Obstetrics and Gynecology.

  • Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Obstetrics and Gynecology (American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology or equivalent).

  • Active and unrestricted medical license in Kentucky (or eligibility for licensure).

  • Current DEA registration and Kentucky Controlled Substance License.

  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.

Additional Skills:

  • Ability to obtain credentialing through relevant agencies (Medicare, Medicaid, etc.).

  • Strong oral and written communication skills, with a motivating personality towards patients, colleagues, medical assistants, and other support staff.

  • Familiarity with Electronic Health Records systems and proficient keyboarding skills are required; availability to work some evenings and Saturdays is necessary.

Schedule Requirements:

This is a full-time position that requires in-person work. Work schedules will be determined by the organization and may be adjusted based on operational needs.
