Opportunity Overview
We are seeking a full-time cardiologist specializing in heart failure and cardio-oncology to become part of our dynamic, comprehensive cardiology practice, which is integrated within a large multi-specialty medical group of over 2000 professionals in the greater San Francisco Bay Area.
Our outpatient facilities are situated in Palo Alto, San Carlos, and Santa Clara, with privileges for patient admissions at Stanford and El Camino hospitals. We maintain strong collaborative relationships with all Sutter locations throughout the Bay Area.
Our practice provides a wide array of cardiovascular services, featuring specialists in heart failure, coronary artery disease, electrophysiology, inherited cardiovascular conditions, prevention, and advanced cardiac imaging, including on-site dedicated coronary CT and MRI scanners.
The ideal candidate will possess specialized training in cardio-oncology (or a minimum of two years of clinical experience), preferably with leadership capabilities to enhance our existing cardio-oncology program, along with proficiency in managing both systolic and diastolic heart failure from various causes.
While post-fellowship training in heart failure is highly preferred, Advanced Heart Failure certification is not mandatory. Our current program benefits from substantial support, including a dedicated program manager, skilled nurse practitioners, philanthropic funding, and backing from Sutter Administration. Future objectives include establishing a robust data infrastructure to facilitate ongoing research initiatives aimed at reducing readmissions and enhancing telemedicine management.
