Director of Radiation Oncology

Location: Morris Cancer Center – New Brunswick, NJ

Estimated Salary Range: $135,000 – $185,000

Position Overview

We are in search of a strategic and seasoned leader to manage the Radiation Oncology operations at Morris Cancer Center. This role involves close collaboration with physicians, executive leadership, and various stakeholders to guarantee the delivery of safe, high-quality, and efficient radiation therapy services.

The Director will be responsible for promoting operational excellence, ensuring regulatory compliance, enhancing workforce engagement, and managing financial resources within a complex academic healthcare setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee Radiation Oncology operations to maintain clinical quality, patient safety, and operational effectiveness.
  • Align departmental strategies, workflows, and performance indicators.
  • Manage operating and capital budgets while actively monitoring financial outcomes.
  • Ensure adherence to hospital standards and regulatory requirements (TJC, NJ DOH).
  • Develop and mentor a high-performing, engaged clinical team.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates must have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Active ARRT certification.
  • Licensure from NJDEP.
  • Current BLS certification.
  • A minimum of five years of progressive supervisory leadership experience in Radiation Oncology.
