Job Description
Our organization, in partnership with a leading children's hospital, is seeking a dedicated individual to take on the role of Radiologist in Chief and Division Chief of Pediatric Radiology. This position will involve providing strategic, clinical, operational, and academic leadership for the division that serves Western Kentucky and parts of Southern Indiana. The successful candidate will be tasked with ensuring the provision of high-quality, patient-focused pediatric imaging services, promoting a culture of clinical excellence and innovation, and overseeing educational and research initiatives within the hospital and the affiliated medical school.
Highlights of the Pediatrics Department:- Expanded from 180 to over 400 full-time pediatric faculty since 2020.
- The hospital features the only Level I Pediatric Trauma Center in the region (300-bed capacity) and employs a fully integrated academic clinical care model aimed at translating clinical research into cutting-edge bedside care.
- A state-of-the-art Pediatric Academic Center, spanning over 150 acres, is currently under construction and expected to be completed by 2030.
- Lead and direct all clinical, operational, and academic functions of the Radiology Division.
- Work collaboratively with the Department Chair and hospital leadership on strategic planning, budgeting, and policy formulation.
- Recruit, mentor, and nurture a diverse and skilled team of faculty and staff, fostering an environment of professional development and collaboration.
- Provide leadership and actively engage in the education and training of medical students, residents, and fellows.
- Collaborate closely with pediatric and pediatric subspecialty physicians during multidisciplinary conferences and in daily patient management to ensure optimal, integrated care.
