Job Opportunity: Physician in Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology

Our organization is on the lookout for a committed and team-oriented physician to enhance our outstanding team within the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. This role presents a distinctive chance to establish and lead a Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology practice in a vibrant academic setting, while also engaging in a wide array of clinical and educational activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong enthusiasm for providing top-notch, patient-focused care, fostering interdisciplinary collaboration, and mentoring the future generation of medical professionals.

Clinical Responsibilities

Your clinical duties will encompass:

  • Providing patient care through outpatient clinics.
  • Performing surgical procedures as necessary.
  • Participating in the gynecologic call system.

Specifically, you will be tasked with establishing an outpatient Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology practice and conducting surgical interventions as required. Additionally, you will be involved in the adult gynecology call pool, which includes managing clinical and surgical emergencies for adult patients, as well as responding to emergency room and inpatient consultations as needed. Furthermore, we aim for this role to engage in multidisciplinary clinics, such as those focused on gender and sexual development and polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS).

Academic Responsibilities

Your academic duties will include:

  • Participating in educational programs for medical students, residents, and fellows.
  • Supervising the training of residents in various settings, including the operating room, outpatient clinic, and inpatient unit.
Working Conditions
  • This position requires onsite work at a specified campus location.

  • This role has been classified as one of trust, involving access to vulnerable populations. The selected candidate must successfully complete an initial caregiver background check in accordance with the Wisconsin Caregiver Law, with subsequent checks every four years.

  • Applicants will be evaluated for various titles, including Clinical Assistant Professor, Clinical Associate Professor, Clinical Professor, Assistant Professor CHS, Associate Professor CHS, and Professor CHS. The final title will be based on the candidate's experience and qualifications.
