Position Overview

The Chief of Primary Care serves as the leading physician in the Primary Care department, responsible for overseeing and coordinating medical services. This role includes supervising physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants, as well as managing a designated panel of patients. Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing policies, procedures, and guidelines for clinical care, treatment, services, and processes within outpatient clinics.
  • Ensuring that direct reports receive necessary training and orientation.
  • Participating in the recruitment of new medical staff for Primary Care units.
  • Monitoring the performance of medical services in the Primary Care setting.
  • Understanding the policies and programs of oversight organizations that impact Primary Care clinics.
Compensation and Benefits
  • Annual salary range: $275,000 - $335,000

  • Potential sign-on bonus for qualified candidates

  • Up to $200,000 in assistance for student loans

  • Contract buy-out options may be available in certain circumstances

  • Generous paid time off totaling 50-55 days per year, including 26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays, and a possible 5-day paid absence for continuing medical education (CME)
