Job Description

Job Description

We are seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Stroke Neurologist to become part of a dynamic, consult-only inpatient program at a Level II Trauma Center, recognized as a Joint Commission Certified Comprehensive Stroke Center. This position is tailored for a physician eager to engage in acute stroke management without the responsibilities of an outpatient practice.

What We Provide:
  • High-Acuity Clinical Focus: Oversee intricate stroke and seizure cases within a Certified Comprehensive Stroke Center, supported by extensive services and a dedicated multidisciplinary team.

  • Stroke-Centric Caseload: Handle acute ischemic and hemorrhagic strokes, transient ischemic attacks (TIA), status epilepticus, and complex inpatient neurology consultations in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

  • Advanced Technology: Work in a cutting-edge facility equipped with continuous video EEG capabilities. While interpreting EEGs is not mandatory, the opportunity is available for those interested.

  • Inpatient Consult Model: Focus primarily on inpatient consultations, with the option to engage in clinic work. Your expertise will be utilized where it is most impactful—at the bedside.

  • Predictable Schedule: Enjoy day shifts from 7 AM to 7 PM with a structured after-hours call system. This sustainable schedule is designed to promote long-term career fulfillment. *Calls can be taken from home, and remaining on-site for the entire shift is not required.

Qualifications:
  • MD or DO; Board-Certified or Board-Eligible in Neurology.

  • Preference for candidates with a fellowship in Vascular Neurology or Stroke; strong general neurology experience will also be considered.

  • Both recent fellowship graduates and seasoned stroke neurologists are encouraged to apply.

  • Required expertise in acute stroke assessment, tPA administration, and collaboration with neurointerventional and neurocritical care teams.

Compensation & Benefits:
  • Attractive compensation package with comprehensive benefits, available as either 1099 or W2. Salary range is between $450,000 and $600,000 annually.

  • Support for continuing medical education (CME) and ongoing professional growth, along with available insurance benefits.

  • A collegial, team-oriented environment with support from experienced hospitalists and specialists.

  • Join a system recognized for its excellence in neurological and stroke care.
