General Gastroenterologist
Job Description
Our organization is actively looking for a full-time Gastroenterologist to become part of our dedicated team within the Division of Gastroenterology. While a focus on General GI is preferred, we are open to candidates with additional specialized skills.
Key ResponsibilitiesYour clinical responsibilities will primarily involve outpatient care, with an even distribution between clinic visits and endoscopic procedures at both the hospital and an ambulatory surgery center. You will also be expected to engage actively in the education of fellows, residents, and students. We will provide mentorship and dedicated time for your professional development.
The Division comprises 18 physicians and 4 advanced practice providers, specializing in areas such as therapeutic endoscopy, hepatology, inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), motility, and genetics.
Teaching and CollaborationThe Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition is expanding its faculty, with practice locations at the University Hospital, Riverside County Hospital, and the VA. This role will primarily be based at the University site, focusing on teaching fellows and residents. Our faculty includes nationally recognized experts in hepatology, therapeutic endoscopy, and IBD, fostering a collegial environment centered on patient care and education.
Faculty members in the Department of Medicine are encouraged to pursue academic interests through teaching and research, as well as provide care to underserved populations through partnerships with local health systems. Compensation and BenefitsThe starting base salary for this position ranges from $450,000 to $525,000, depending on experience and faculty rank. This figure does not include variable compensation or additional productivity incentives and is subject to departmental compensation policies.
