Pediatric Epileptologist
Job Description
Our organization is actively looking for a full-time Board Eligible/Board Certified Pediatric Epileptologist to fill the role of Assistant or Associate Professor within the Division of Pediatric Neurology.
The division currently comprises 11 Pediatric Neurologists, including 2 pediatric epileptologists, and operates at our NAEC Level 4 Epilepsy Center. We serve one of the largest geographical areas in California and are part of one of the most prominent children's hospitals in the nation.
Our team of epileptologists is responsible for a variety of services, including:
- Video EEG monitoring
- Epilepsy surgical evaluations
- Outpatient clinics, featuring a multidisciplinary complex epilepsy clinic
- Outpatient EEG interpretation
- General pediatric consult services
- Undergraduate and postgraduate medical education and training
We collaborate with an adult epilepsy neurosurgeon and two pediatric epilepsy neurosurgeons. Additionally, our epilepsy group includes six adult epileptologists, one neuroradiologist, two pediatric neuropsychologists, one pediatric neurology nurse practitioner, and a ketogenic dietitian. Together, we offer surgical, neuromodulatory, and dietary services tailored for children.

Compensation & BenefitsThe starting base salary for this position ranges from $242,000 to $265,000, depending on experience and faculty rank. This figure represents the base compensation only and does not include variable compensation or additional productivity incentives, which are determined by departmental compensation plans. Further details regarding compensation will be discussed during the recruitment process.
