Urologist Position

Location: Phoenix, Arizona

Our organization is currently seeking a Urologist to join the Department of Surgery. This department supports Valleywise Health, a community hospital recognized as a Level 1 Trauma and Burn Center by both the State and the American College of Surgeons, located in the metropolitan area of Phoenix. The facility is equipped with advanced technology, including endoscopic tools, a urodynamic lab, and a da Vinci surgical robotic system.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as a faculty member for graduate medical education programs sponsored by the department.
• Contribute to the development of the clinical service line.
• Provide both inpatient and outpatient general urology services in elective and emergency care settings.
• Participate in shared call coverage and collaborate effectively in patient management.
• Engage in collaborative research initiatives.
• Play a vital role in expanding and enhancing our robotics program for urology patients.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited urology residency program.
• Board certified and/or board eligible.
• Eligibility for an unrestricted Arizona Medical license; J1 Visa applicants will be considered.
• Preference for candidates with fellowship training or significant experience in robotic-assisted surgery.

We are a not-for-profit faculty practice plan operated by physicians, comprising over 400 providers across various medical and surgical specialties. Our physicians hold faculty appointments and engage in inter-professional teaching through a fully accredited ACGME General Surgery Residency program, which includes the only ACGME accredited Surgical Critical Care residency in Phoenix. Additionally, we are one of 13 hospitals in the nation accredited by the American College of Surgeons for Adult & Pediatric Trauma and Burns.
