As our practice continues to grow, we are integrating an OB/GYN laborist model alongside our traditional services. Practice Overview
  • Level 2 nursery: 24/7 in-house pediatricians from Nationwide Children's Hospital.
  • Births: Approximately 1,500 deliveries each year.
  • Support team: An OB-GYN hospitalist team to assist with call duties.
  • Surgical facilities: Scheduled operating room block time available.
  • Support staff: Seven Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) to enhance patient care.
  • Specialty services: On-site urogynecology services.
Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver primary and preventive healthcare to women, including routine gynecological examinations, Pap tests, and breast assessments.
  • Diagnose and manage various gynecological issues, such as menstrual irregularities, endometriosis, and pelvic inflammatory disease.
  • Provide prenatal care for expectant mothers, monitoring fetal growth, managing high-risk pregnancies, and addressing pregnancy-related concerns.
  • Conduct deliveries, both vaginal and cesarean, ensuring the safety and health of mothers and infants.
  • Perform surgical interventions, including hysterectomies, laparoscopies, and tubal ligations as necessary.
  • Educate patients on reproductive health, contraceptive choices, and family planning strategies.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including nurses, midwives, and specialists, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Maintain precise and current medical records, documenting patient histories, examination findings, and treatment plans.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development and continuing medical education to stay updated on advancements in obstetrics and gynecology.
  • Uphold ethical and legal standards in medical practice, ensuring patient confidentiality and informed consent.
