The Pediatric Endocrinology and Diabetes program is a comprehensive, clinically focused, and research-oriented subspecialty initiative integrated within one of California's most esteemed health systems. We deliver cutting-edge clinical services, extensive diabetes and weight management programs, and a developing pediatric endocrine research portfolio, all backed by a robust operational framework.

We are in search of a committed and collaborative Pediatric Endocrinologist to enhance our expanding pediatric subspecialty practice. The ideal candidate should have a keen interest in advancing pediatric endocrine clinical research and providing innovative care for children facing complex endocrine challenges. While prior research experience is advantageous, it is not a prerequisite. We seek a physician who prioritizes teamwork, clinical excellence, and a dedication to improving outcomes for pediatric patients across our diverse Northern California communities.

Our organization boasts a strong research initiative with several new system-wide projects underway and is dedicated to supporting both emerging and established physician-investigators. Our practice combines the intellectual rigor of an academic setting with the stability, resources, and lifestyle benefits of a large, nonprofit, physician-led medical group.

Program Highlights:

  • 8 active clinical trials.

  • A nationally recognized award for innovation in diabetes care.

  • A robust and expanding research initiative with several new system-wide projects.

  • Certified Diabetes Care & Education Specialists (CDCES).

  • Registered Dietitians.

  • Embedded care coordination and population health support, including the Life@Sutter weight management program, PENS team (Pediatric Endocrine and Nutrition Services), and a multidisciplinary diabetes team.

The team emphasizes shared decision-making, collaborative leadership between physicians and APCs, mutual respect, and long-term sustainability.

Qualifications:

We are looking for a pediatric endocrinologist who is:

  • Board-certified or board-eligible in Pediatric Endocrinology.

  • Clinically proficient and team-oriented.

  • Interested in diabetes care, endocrine complexities, or program development.
