ENT (Otolaryngology) Physician - Hybrid Hospitalist & Outpatient Role

Location: Atlanta, Georgia

Our organization, in partnership with a prestigious medical school, is on the lookout for a Board Certified or Board Eligible Otolaryngologist to become part of our expanding Department of Otolaryngology. This distinctive role merges inpatient ENT hospitalist responsibilities with outpatient general otolaryngology practice.

The Department of Otolaryngology is renowned nationally for its outstanding clinical care, research, and educational initiatives, fostering a collaborative atmosphere for physicians keen on both clinical practice and academic growth.

This full-time opportunity allows you to develop a well-rounded clinical practice within one of the top academic health systems in the country while engaging in teaching, research, and multidisciplinary patient care. The position encompasses inpatient responsibilities at a leading university hospital and outpatient practice at a community medical center.

Clinical Responsibilities

Inpatient ENT Hospitalist Care:

  • Deliver consultative and procedural care at a flagship tertiary care facility.
  • Manage common ENT consultations, including airway evaluations, vocal cord injections, and bedside procedures.
  • Receive support from experienced PAs who assist with consultations, care coordination, and inpatient management.
  • Engage in multidisciplinary collaboration for the care of complex patients, including immunocompromised transplant populations.

Outpatient Clinical Practice:

  • Work at the newly established community-based clinic, offering a full range of ENT services.
  • Provide general ENT care for patients of all ages, including office-based procedures and management of benign and malignant conditions.
  • The clinic is equipped with audiology services, a dedicated audiology booth, and ultrasound capabilities.
Schedule & Work Structure
  • The hybrid schedule is adaptable based on the physician's interests and experience, typically comprising 3-4 days of inpatient hospitalist duties and 2-3 days in the outpatient clinic.
  • Day shift hospitalist coverage from 7 AM to 5 PM, with APPs managing first-call duties and after-hours cases handled by the on-call team, ensuring a predictable daytime schedule.
  • Outpatient call averages 5-6 shifts per month.
