Our organization, a well-regarded health system serving the western suburbs of Philadelphia, is in search of an experienced and forward-thinking Chief of Vascular Surgery to lead and enhance our expanding vascular surgery department. This leadership position presents an exciting chance to influence the future of vascular care at a vibrant academic community medical center. As part of our multi-specialty practice, which includes 600 physicians, the Chief will play a crucial role in clinical innovation, program development, and achieving outstanding patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:Provide strategic direction for the Division of Vascular Surgery, focusing on clinical operations, quality enhancement, and program development.
Oversee the provision of comprehensive vascular care, encompassing minimally invasive, open vascular, and endovascular procedures.
Encourage a collaborative, multidisciplinary approach to patient care, partnering closely with specialists throughout our network.
Mentor and supervise vascular surgery faculty and residents, with opportunities to influence educational programs within the general surgery residency.
Participate in clinical research through our affiliated research institute, with avenues for research funding and academic appointments.
Lead initiatives aimed at expanding the vascular surgery program and contributing to graduate medical education.
Board certification in vascular surgery with at least 10 years of clinical experience in the field, including leadership roles in a hospital or academic environment.
Demonstrated leadership experience in a medical setting.
Proficiency in both minimally invasive and open vascular procedures, with advanced capabilities in endovascular techniques.
Proven track record in program leadership, strategic planning, and promoting clinical excellence.
A strong dedication to patient-centered care, clinical outcomes, and innovation in vascular surgery.
Interest in teaching and mentoring within an academic setting.
