The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at our organization in Albany, NY is on the lookout for a board-certified pathologist in Anatomic Pathology (AP) or Anatomic Pathology/Clinical Pathology (AP/CP) to engage in clinical Neuropathology services within an academic environment. Candidates must have completed a fellowship in Neuropathology, with a preference for those who also have a secondary interest in AP.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Sign out of Neuropathology and muscle biopsy cases
  • Provide frozen section call coverage for Neuropathology during weekdays
  • Participate in brain cutting and contribute to the hospital autopsy service
  • Handle short-call and long weekend call duties in AP
Teaching Responsibilities:
  • Engage in unknown slide conferences
  • Participate in monthly morgue conferences
  • Deliver didactic lectures and supervise resident presentations, including journal clubs, gross conferences, and grand rounds
  • Opportunities for involvement in translational research and medical student education can be customized based on individual interests and departmental needs

We offer a competitive base salary that aligns with experience and academic rank, ranging from $224,000 to $336,500, along with potential incentive opportunities.
