Pediatric Physiatrist
Job Description
Our organization, affiliated with a prominent healthcare system, is on the lookout for a full-time Pediatric Physiatrist. We are eager to find a passionate and committed physician who is enthusiastic about serving an urban, ethnically diverse, and underserved community within a vibrant and supportive academic environment. The hospitals are conveniently reachable via public transport and are accessible by car from various locations across New York City, New Jersey, and Long Island.
The successful candidate will become a part of our pediatric faculty, delivering care to our outpatient population and providing inpatient consultations for neonates at both facilities. This role will function within the Pediatric departments while being officially appointed in the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, which operates jointly across both hospitals.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct two to three days of outpatient sessions at Elmhurst Hospital Center.
- Provide inpatient consultations in the Level 3 NICU at Elmhurst.
- Engage in one to two days of outpatient sessions at Queens Hospital Center.
- Offer inpatient consultations in the Level 3 NICU at Queens.
- Instruct residents and medical students in clinical settings.
We provide a faculty appointment at our affiliated medical school, which will be aligned with the candidate's credentials, experience, and qualifications. The ideal applicant should be board eligible or board certified and fellowship trained in Pediatric Physiatry. A valid New York State medical license and active DEA registration are required.
The compensation for this position ranges from $217,000 to $227,000, in addition to benefits and faculty practice distributions throughout the academic year.
