Job Opportunity: Nocturnist Psychiatrist

Our organization, affiliated with a prominent medical institution, is looking for a full-time Psychiatrist to join the Comprehensive Psychiatric Emergency Program (CPEP) as a Nocturnist. This position is based in the culturally rich community of Western Queens, which is known for its diversity.

The Nocturnist role involves working 3-4 overnight shifts during weekdays or weekends, totaling a 40-hour work week. A strong interest in collaborating with residents is crucial. This position not only offers the chance to teach but also allows for engaging with a diverse patient population, enhancing the clinical experience. The location in Western Queens provides convenient access from various parts of NYC, Westchester, and Long Island.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide psychiatric care during overnight shifts.
  • Collaborate closely with residents and contribute to their education.
  • Engage with a diverse patient demographic.
Qualifications:
  • MD or DO degree.
  • Board certified or board eligible in Psychiatry.
  • Valid New York State medical license, DEA registration, and Medicaid number.
