Position Overview

Our organization is on the lookout for a board-certified or board-eligible pediatric hepatologist to join the Department of Pediatrics and the Division of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition. This role is available at the Assistant or Associate Professor level. The successful candidate will become part of a dynamic team that includes nine full-time faculty members and three nurse practitioners, all dedicated to addressing a wide range of intriguing pediatric health issues. Our program encompasses comprehensive care in pediatric gastroenterology, hepatology, and nutrition.

About the Division

Our Division is a leader in hepatology and liver transplantation, hosting one of the oldest pediatric liver transplant programs in the United States. We are also recognized nationally for our pediatric pancreatology program, which includes total pancreatectomy and pancreatic islet autotransplantation. Ongoing clinical research focuses on gastrointestinal diseases related to cystic fibrosis, chronic pancreatitis, inflammatory bowel disease, nutrition, and autoimmune hepatitis. Additionally, our division is involved in the Rare Disease program at our institution, which has recently been designated as a Center of Excellence by the National Organization of Rare Diseases. We are committed to achieving excellence across our three primary missions: patient care, education, and research.

Qualifications
  • Board-certified or board-eligible pediatric hepatologist with advanced training in hepatology, including clinical experience in hepatology and/or transplant hepatology.
  • Possession of or eligibility for a medical license and DEA registration in the State of Minnesota, meeting the necessary criteria for credentialing and privileges.
  • Ability to obtain work authorization in the United States from U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services and maintain legal status in accordance with VISA requirements.
Compensation and Benefits

This position is jointly employed by our organization and the University. The total salary is competitive and based on AAMC salary benchmarks. Clinical compensation, which corresponds to clinical responsibilities, is provided through our organization. The base salary range for this role is between $201,800 and $362,200, depending on experience, qualifications, and clinical full-time equivalent (cFTE). The salary from the University will reflect the academic contributions of the individual hired.
