Gym Janitor

About the Role:

Responsibilities:

• Clean and sanitize gym equipment, locker rooms, and common areas regularly.
• Maintain cleanliness of restrooms and showers, ensuring all supplies are stocked.
• Perform routine inspections of facilities to identify maintenance needs.
• Dispose of waste and recyclables in accordance with company policies.
• Assist with setting up and breaking down gym equipment for classes and events.
• Respond promptly to cleaning requests from staff and members.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times.
• Report any safety hazards or maintenance issues to management immediately.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous cleaning experience, especially in a gym or fitness environment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow cleaning protocols.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanor.
• Capacity to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks as required.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends.
