Responsibilities
- Maintenance Technicians are on task throughout the campus
- Performing minor maintenance, carpentry, plumbing, and painting
- Providing courteous, high-quality service to team members by personally responding to requests for service
- Providing any needed assistance to team members, vendors, and visitors
- Responding to emergency situations in each building
- Monday through Friday hours, however, may be required to work nights, days, holidays and weekends
- Meeting the physical requirements of the job and the ability to work in the environmental conditions listed below to perform common Maintenance Technician functions and duties. Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
- Performing all duties in a safe manner, following all safety procedures
Qualifications
Technical Skills:
- Working knowledge around commercial HVAC, carpentry, electrical, painting, and plumbing preferred.
- Must have mechanical aptitude
- Knowledgeable use of tools of the trade required
- Meet all legal requirements to be able to work in the United States
Must demonstrate good moral fitness and ethical standards
Meet minimum requirements set by insurer to drive a company vehicle:
1. No moving traffic violations in the past 3 years
2. No at fault accidents in the past 3 years
3. Have not had driver's license denied, suspended or revoked in the last 3 years
4. No driving under the influence of intoxicants (DUI) convictions in the past 3 years
Interpersonal Skills:
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing with team members, vendors and the public, to understand and follow standard operating procedures, to perform duties in a professional manner
- Make independent and good judgment decisions within proper policy and procedures
- Must be detailed oriented and have satisfactory literacy and writing, documentation, communications and interpersonal abilities. Must be proficient at computer based programs in Microsoft and web based platforms
- Have no disqualifying criminal history or convictions
- Be able to work alone responsibly and without supervision and able to be on call once on a rotational basis.
