Job Description
This is an outstanding opportunity for an attorney looking to work on sophisticated fund formation and investment management matters within one of the most prominent investment funds practices in the market. The team advises leading private equity sponsors, asset managers, and investment firms on the formation, structuring, and operation of a wide range of investment funds.
Key ResponsibilitiesAdvise clients on the formation, structuring, and ongoing operation of investment funds
Represent fund sponsors and general partners across a variety of private investment fund structures
Draft and negotiate fund formation documents and related agreements
Assist with regulatory and compliance matters related to investment funds
Work closely with clients and deal teams on complex investment management matters
3–6 years of corporate experience at a leading national or international law firm
Experience representing fund sponsors in the formation and structuring of investment funds
Strong understanding of private investment fund structures and fund operations
Excellent analytical, drafting, and communication skills
Outstanding academic credentials
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced transactional practice
Admission to the Illinois Bar or eligibility to obtain admission
