Job Title: Counselor Lead (Dog Daycare & Boarding)
Location: Happy Paws Pet Resort New York, NY
Schedule Requirement: Tuesday through Saturday availability (required)


Happy Paws Pet Resort is seeking a reliable, experienced, and energetic Counselor Lead to join our team. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, loves working with dogs, and has strong leadership skills.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Supervise daily daycare and boarding operations to ensure a safe and positive environment for all pets
  
  
• 
  Lead and support a team of counselors, including training, coaching, and performance guidance
  
  
• 
  Monitor dog behavior and group play, ensuring proper handling and safety protocols
  
  
• 
  Communicate clearly with management regarding daily operations, incidents, and staffing needs
  
  
• 
  Assist with feeding, medication administration, cleaning, and overall facility upkeep
  
  
• 
  Provide excellent customer service when interacting with pet parents
  
  

Requirements:

• 
  Must be available Tuesday through Saturday (this is a non-negotiable schedule)
  
  
• 
  Prior experience working in a dog daycare, boarding facility, or similar environment
  
  
• 
  Leadership or supervisory experience preferred
  
  
• 
  Strong understanding of dog behavior and safe handling practices
  
  
• 
  Ability to multitask and stay organized in a high-energy setting
  
  
• 
  Comfortable working on your feet and handling dogs of all sizes
