Worship Leader - Three Timbers Church

This part time position’s primary responsibilities are to plan, coordinate and lead worship for two Sunday services a month in addition to holding one worship team practice per week. The worship leader prays, sings, and interacts with the band, the pastor, and the congregation while establishing a worshipful atmosphere throughout the service. This is a part-time, stipend position which pays $600 a month that is based in Bennington, Nebraska, just outside Omaha. Responsibilities

  • Lead worship on Sunday mornings twice a month
  • Select music for congregational worship
  • Work with vocalists and instrumentalists to learn music for worship service
  • Plan and lead weekly worship team rehearsal for each week leading worship
  • Set up and tear down all aspects of worship for Sunday morning, including, but not limited to: instruments, microphones and portable sound system
  • Use Planning Center to schedule and communicate with worship team about practice & music selection
  • Work with the lead pastor on music selection in support of scripture and or sermon series
  • Maintain a strong sense of commitment and camaraderie within the worship team
  • Recruit musicians to join worship team and help team members grow in their ministry gifts

Accountability

  • Reports to the lead pastor and church elders
